Best way to do it, is give yourself a time limit and stick to it. That's pretty much what I did
Whatever your approach, I'd recomend you try it anyway

I don't feel worthy of criticking this, but the chest bothers me, it curves inwards, whilst her stomach curves out, wich seems unnatural, so I'm gonna nag you and say, did you use structure on this? because if you didn't you should.

The tension in the throat in combination with the red background and glove brings a wonderfull tension in the painting. Keep it up.
